Double Ended Peanut Butter Jar
This is for those who enjoy a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a peanut butter cracker. Whenever using a peanut butter jar, it is always hard to get the butter out. So what I have done is created a peanut butter jar that can be opened from both sides. When you are done with the upper half of the jar, you can just turn it over and then open the bottom where you can get the rest of the butter out and leave nothing behind. Also the bottle would be trimmer lined and striated without a lip where the top is so that there is no curvature in the bottle so that the peanut butter that is stuck to the sides will easily is able to remove with a knife, spoon or utensil of your choice. This this also will be easier for individuals with disabilities such as arthritis because they will not have to dig their hands deep into the jar to get peanut butter out, also fun for kids.
There are no current resources at the moment.
Chuck Pell: I think it might be the Klutz series of books, or the Encyclopedia of Immaturity. One of those.

Chuck Pell: Not patentable because it already is in the public domain in a kid's book, as an invention, including nice pictures. Sorry; good idea, but try again. You'll get one....

Nathan Wieler: good idea. you might want to look at submitting something like this to a site like quirky.com where you could submit the idea and the design and then earn a royalty on sales if they produce and market the product. otherwise, probably tough to execute this and make money on it.

Douglas Baker: Interesting idea...why haven't manufacturers already done so...they have smart designers on staff or in their world as advisors. The remedy you are addressing with a design modification exists in many similar containers. There is a reason there has not be a wholesale modifcation to 'jars'. This is not a direct-to-consumer play either.

Jeff Snell: I rated this a 4 because it is a great IDEA. However it is not a business. The go to market strategy on this would require that the design be patented (which is likely not available) and then licensed to a product packaging manufacturer. Revenue would be derived from a royalty on each unit sold. If it is patentable it is worth millions.
