Carolina Course Exchange
Currently at UNC-CH, you can hold a class while waiting for a seat in another to open, but there is no way for people to make a mutually beneficial exchange. If one student holds class X waiting for class Y, but another student is holding class Y for class X, they are stuck. I am proposing a website that would match such students up, allowing them to switch classes. The site would allow a student to post classes they wished to trade, and classes they for which they would be willing to trade. Revenue would come about through advertisements from local businesses.

Proximity (I would be able to ask businesses if they would be interested in advertising here)
Jeff Snell: Revenue models based on advertising are rarely profitable. Large integration cost and must get institutional approval. In my day we went to the registrars office and dropped and added at the same time. Admittedly we had to know the other persons intent in advance.
